Golf Tournament:
Since 2006, the Knights of Columbus have hosted an annual golf tournament at Kendrick Golf Course. The Golf Tournament has raised over $265,000 to support Holy Name Catholic School. Businesses and individuals can support the fundraiser through a Hole Sponsorship or honor someone with a Memorial or Alumni Sponsorship.
Gala
On September 28th 2024, an anniversary gala will be held to celebrate 110 years of dedicated, innovated education. This gala marks a revival of renewed interest, a renaissance, for Holy Name Catholic School. After a 25 years absence, in a nod to the past, the performing arts are returning to Holy Name Catholic School. A new stage curtain will hang in the valance of history where new stage performances will be held for community enjoyment and gatherings. In a nod to the present and future, a three-year STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) has been purchased from Discovery Education. This program will expire in June of 2027.
In a world where science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics are critical to every job, field of study, career and home life, it’s essential that every student has a strong foundation in STEAM. Through a
project-based STEAM education, teachers provide rich language, literacy, and social/emotional learning
opportunities that incorporate interdisciplinary skills in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
STEAM education puts an emphasis on preparing future generations to be successful in their careers and home life. STEAM education helps students prepare for the future by teaching new technologies and innovations. This education offers a competitive edge in the job market and helps them to understand and participate in shaping the world around them.
To meet the needs and demands required in higher education and career fields, an anniversary gala is seeking sponsors to help Holy Name School raise money to purchase a Smart Lab through Learning System. It is our hope that we will implement this fully integrated learning environment, from computers to furniture,
where everything works together to support hands-on, minds-on learning in the fall of 2027. Smart Labs are
turnkey Project Based Learning Centers with focused STEM learning environments and curricula that prepare students for the careers of tomorrow. The Smart Lab learning process is an action-driven, repeatable process where students explore a piece of technology, plan the project, do the project, reflect on the progress, and share and celebrate their learning. In the Smart Lab, the personalized learning programs engage students of all ages, interests, and abilities through intrinsic motivation.
Implementing a SMART Lab in Holy Name Catholic School’s STEAM program will provide students
the opportunity to develop character, confidence and community. All of this is accomplished while having fun and building relationships. I hope you will join us at the gala on September 28 th and support our fund-raising goal of $125,000 by sponsoring a table at the gala.
Thank you,
