RCIA is the process used by the Catholic Church to welcome, guide, and instruct those who seek to enter into or strengthen their relationship with God in the Roman Catholic tradition. The process includes weekly classes and Mass attendance, as well as the opportunity to attend parish bible study and discussion groups. We welcome all who seek to inquire about the Catholic faith, whether or not they feel certain about joining the Catholic Church. Members of the parish are encouraged to participate in the RCIA process as part of the catechetical team, as a support person – either as prayer support or snack/supply support – or as a sponsor to one of the catechumens (unbaptized) or candidates (baptized) on their spiritual journey.

The process consists of a series of Periods and Steps:
Whom is the Christian initiation process intended for?
Primarily, any person who has never been baptized;
Secondly, any baptized Christian wishing to come into the full communion of the Roman Catholic Church.
