December 6th - Session 6: It's Only the Beginning In Class: Read and Discuss this Session Session 5 (remainder) and Session 6(start) - Pages 152-161 Steps 2,3,4,5 of Reconciliation, discuss mistakes vs sin Pages 162-165 Read Parable "Prodigal Son" - discuss and dig deep in understanding the parable Discuss pages 166-169 Activity "To Be the Best Version of Yourself" - children will draw themselves in front of the church, fill in blanks: Daily Prayer, Sunday Mass, follow the 10 Commandments, Be kind and truthful, Go to Reconciliation or Confession regularly, students will draw or write two more individual ways to be best version Reconciliation Book - will review the steps Before, During and After, model and practice Session 6 - pages 187-181 discuss Prayer Advent Wreath - discuss Advent and preparing for Jesus - glue on two purple candles, students take the pink and purple candles home to continue to share with family and add the candles each week of Advent
December 13th - There will be in person class today. Note the schedule change Opening Prayer - "The Sign of the Cross", "Act of Contrition", "Hail Mary", "Glory Be" Visit Confessional and talk to Father Model Reconciliation - practice with book from last week Session 6: Read, discuss and share using pages 182-195 discussing Prayer process, Great habits and daily prayer, a quiet place and being grateful Activity"Prayer Conversation Accordion"- children will fill in the blanks on to have a prayer conversation they could keep to use daily Nativity Craft Activity Q & A with the questions in the back of the book
