Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular programs. It is a goal of Holy Name Catholic School to develop character, poise, self-control, sportsmanship, and physical skills in our students. Co-curricular programs provide an excellent opportunity for students to maximize these qualities and abilities.
Mission. The major role of the activities program at Holy Name Catholic School is to develop skills, positive concept, and positive values and attitudes as followers of Christ. Fifth-eighth grade students may take band and participate in student council. Our athletic program includes girls' volleyball, boys' and girls' basketball, and boys' and girls' track. Students desiring to play football or wrestle may do so with Sheridan Jr. High School. All students are encouraged to participate in the school’s extra curricular activities.
Student Council. Student leadership is a vital component of our school. The student council is composed of students from the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. The council meets on Friday’s during choice class. Student Council members are expected to have appropriate behavior and passing grades. The student council sponsors a variety of activities including school parties and community service projects. Contact the school office for more information.
Band. Band is an extra-curricular class offered to students in the fifth-eighth grades.
